About Lucas Oil
Lucas Oil Products was founded in 1989 in Corona, California, by long-haul trucker Forrest Lucas and his wife Charlotte, after Forrest grew frustrated with gunked-up fuel systems and overheating engines on the road and set out to formulate something that worked better. The company's first product, Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer, was sold directly to owner-operators at truck stops before Lucas built it into a full lubricants and additive manufacturer. The company has since moved its corporate headquarters to Indianapolis, Indiana, and now produces roughly 270 formulations sold through more than 30,000 auto parts stores in the U.S. and in dozens of countries.
Manufacturing runs through Lucas Oil's own production facilities and ISO-certified laboratory in Corydon, Indiana, which handle quality control for both Corydon plants and have carried ISO 9001:2015 quality-management certification since 2022, recertified every year since. The product range spans fuel treatments, motor oil and oil additives, gear oil, grease, transmission products, and hydraulic fluids sold across everyday car care, heavy-duty trucking, marine, motorcycle, and racing categories -- the same breadth that put a Lucas Oil fuel treatment in our own garage-tested lineup.
