About Griot's Garage
Griot's Garage is a family-owned automotive detailing company founded by Richard Griot, who started the business in his home garage in 1988 and mailed the company's first catalog in 1990. The company relocated to Tacoma, Washington in 1994, where its flagship retail store and Car Care School are based today, and it manufactures its liquid car care products in-house at its own facility in Plainfield, Indiana. Griot's Garage remains family owned and operated, now in its third generation of leadership, under the tagline "Car Care for the Perfectionist."
