About XPEL
XPEL was incorporated in 1997 in San Antonio, Texas, where it is still headquartered today, and started out as a software company digitizing pre-cut patterns for paint protection film installers before it became a film manufacturer in its own right. In 2011, XPEL introduced the industry's first self-healing paint protection film, a formulation whose elastomeric topcoat lets light scratches and swirl marks reflow shut with heat rather than staying etched into the surface.
