About Valentine One
Valentine Research is a privately-held electronics manufacturer based in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1983 by Mike Valentine, who had launched the original Escort Radar Warning Receiver in 1976 through Cincinnati Microwave before starting his own company. In 1992 Valentine Research released the original Valentine One, the first radar detector to combine front- and rear-facing antennas with directional arrows that showed a driver where a signal was coming from rather than just that one existed -- a design the company says it invented and one that set the template every directional detector since has followed.
