About Innova
Innova Electronics traces back to 1990, when it was set up as the research and development arm of Equus Products, an automotive test-equipment maker founded in 1982. Innova built its name on the OBD2 code reader category itself, and at one point held more than 80 percent of the US OBD2 diagnostic scanner market -- its 3100 model became the best-selling scan tool of its kind in the country, passing one million units sold. The company is now headquartered in Irvine, California, and continues to design and support its diagnostic tools from there.
