About StatGear
StatGear was founded in 2010 in New York by Avi Goldstein, a working New York City paramedic who built the company around tools for the survival, rescue, and EDC (everyday-carry) markets. The T3 Tactical Auto Rescue Tool -- the product that earned StatGear a place on RevRated -- was designed by Goldstein himself, drawing on real vehicle-extrication experience rather than generic multi-tool engineering: a spring-loaded tungsten carbide window punch, a 440c stainless folding knife, and a 440c stainless hook blade built specifically to cut a stretched and locked seatbelt in one pull.
The T3 has been featured on The Today Show and in Men's Health magazine, and StatGear later built a first-aid-equipped Auto Survival Kit around the same tool. The company also launched a sister brand, Clip & Carry, whose debut SwissQlip pocket-clip accessory for Swiss Army Knives funded on Indiegogo in 2019.
