About Rough Country
Rough Country traces its name back to 1975, when the brand's shocks were among the first aftermarket off-road units on the market, recognizable by their yellow-painted bodies on Jeep CJs and squarebody trucks. The company as it operates today was founded in 1986 by Patrick and Michael Heckethorn and is headquartered in Dyersburg, Tennessee, where it designs and manufactures suspension lift kits, running boards, bumpers, winches, bed mats and liners, tonneau covers, and lighting for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs.
